I think one of the main white players to have returned to Zimbabwe has been Gary Ballance.
His talent and opening batting technique should be used to our dvantage when we eventaull return to test cricket.
His "return" is a strange case, though - he's playing as an "overseas" player and isn't available for selection for the national side. Seems to still have one eye on qualifying for England.
That's a good point but even if his intentions aren't to play internationally, he's still beefed up our domestic league through his experteese with the bat.
The same can be said for Andrew Hall, Chad Keegan etc.
Chakabva deserves to be in the starting 11. We are so desperate to get Sean Ervene his place back, and walk Sean William back after a series of poor perfomances in S.A and in the 20/20 series. Taibu toured more than 4 times to Bangladesh but struggled in the previous series. If anything we should be building our team around Chakabva & Craig Ervene who showed a lot of promise in their debut subcontinent series rather than banking on worthless experience.

A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.
They are saving Dabengwa for test cricket where he is going to open both the batting and the bowling.

If he opens the bowling how will he keep wicket at the same time ?

I hope rainsford gets a few games in the world cup he can feel hard done by, Was the player of the series in my eyes against Ireland taking 10 wickets in a mere 3 games and then got carted in a solitary 20/20 match against south africa and was subsequently dropped, Think the full ODI's are appropriate for rainsford and he should get a chance hopefully

he shoud be our spearhead but isnt consistent as mpofu.
considering jarvis is out cold for a few more months rainsford should be the best of our bad bunch
It seems a bit unfair to drop the guy after one bad 20/20 match when he was picking up wickets for fun against Ireland. They guy needs a decent run in the side methinks, he can do a job with mpofu/S masacadza at world cup methinks unless chigumbura is bowling then,
