Our guys have no intent to win here, apart from Hlabangana, looks like theyre just trying to bat time. Very strange innings from Blignaut.
Not being able to score in the modern game is a sign of lack of skill, anyone can survive, but its getting the scoreboard ticking without getting out thats the skill.

To my surprise Zolsky came to defend him and I partially had to agree with him this time. But hey as long as they're actually learning.

Absolutely no surprise in this case. The Blignauts are well and truly inside the tent.

Either he was told to hold up one end coz the batting was thin and took it too literally  or he just couldn't score.
If you think there's batting to come, and at 3 presumably there is, and you're not getting them away at some point pretty quickly chasing 280 you have to play some shots and try and break the shackles or hope the other guys do better.

Our pool of u19's is the thinnest its ever been, despite what Frank says  He went from defending the white kid to attacking other white boys in one sentence
Up to 6 likes now, his fan base is growing.
From that other list of shite u19's he's talking about we unearthed 3 outstanding talents- Bawa, Melch and Bennett, one of our best returns from an u19 squad in many years. Covid years as well and those boys had absolutely zero warm up games. Fokoro, nada, zip, zilch and had to deal with Utseya's bizarre coaching ideas which would have set Kohli back 15 years

Blignaut is one of our best players, let's hope he learns real fast because he can't afford too many more of those unless the pockets are deep. The upside was he lasted 60 balls.
That innings would be a sign off if there were other decent players, but they wont because hes potentially ok and the cupboard is bare.

Anyone in u19 you can gun, it's an adult team, even if he's 16, he's wearing the jersey. Im not gunning him by the way. Never saw his innings, have seen him bat twice from a distance. He did well when I watched him, but technically wasnt too good, had a good eye.
His old man was awesome, hopefully the apple dont fall far from the tree.

The one thing i notice is so many people say all our players need to learn on the job (internationally) because the domestic isn't strong enough.

Yet with the 19's very few have even played a list A or first class. Every other side will have players already playing against men. I'm not saying we need to gift games but its hard to expect anyone to get better facing the same opposition each time.

Nathaniel Hlabangana is a really nice player. Not struggling here at all.
