The world is double standards and then some.
All but Pakistan and Bangladesh voted to replace Bangladesh with Scotland.

May well be an additional reason why Pakistan outed Scotland in the u19 match the other day.
India have an iron grip over ICC.

I see the WI are playing 3 quick warm up games against SA before they head off to the WC.
Do we have any last minute games in the pipeline. The boys havent played any cricket for a while, its going to be tough going in cold.

I see this conversation has been had on X.
There's always someone to play, for example the Zim wannabe's. I can pick a side that will run them close, if not win.

Interestingly BCB did what PCB (and BCCI) have often threatened to do, but the PCB never actually followed through on. There will be downstream financial consequences for the BCB. They will miss out on the ICC paycheck for this tournament (definitely a 8 figure amount) and there won't be any bilaterals with India in the forseeable future. But interestingly enough the PCB hasn't gone bankrupt despite not having any bilaterals with India for close to 2 decades now, proving it is possible to survive financially - but probably not thrive - without the BCCI.

But the Bangladeshi general election is also just 2 weeks away, and odds are a government that is more favorable to the Indian perspective will take over from the interim gov.

Larry k posted how because we qualified in the qualifiers rather than automatically on ranking ZC didn’t know we would be at the World Cup in time to arrange anything  like they were 4 months ago. Even that tri series in Pakistan which was 2 months ago, we only played because one of the original sides dropped out.

Could have invited Scotland few a few games instead of 2 weeks of the domestic t20. Until yesterday they weren’t at the World Cup, didn’t have plans and were available.

This just shows you how badly run and organised ZC is. You don't make plans only when something happens, you plan for every possibility. We should have been planning for the possibility of qualification. Even if we didn't qualify, there would have been a team who had who would need the practice and warm ups. It's incredibly poor management and lame excuses.

The fear of playing the Zim Wannabe Shouldbe XI is real.
