He's not going anywhere, Taps.
When you have the main academy named after you and you're still alive your future is secure.

Making these kids commit to 2 years of no other sport is specifically designed to exclude the private schools, don't be fooled by any spin about professionalism.

Im not sure people realize the ramifications of this.
Thats white players in all age groups effectively finished for good. That's a helluva move by ZC. They'll make the odd exception for a token player, which they do anyway, but now its official, it's effectively the end of the road. It doesnt bode well for Sogo either, theyre going to chop them up and guys like Marumani and Myers are going to be read the riot act. Macheka and Mubaiwa, 2 of our most promising bowlers have not had a franchise game since. They were told directly, we are going to show you.
Hlabangana is in the u19 but if he wants a future here he will be told the same thing.
Theyre effectively returning to the status quo they are comfortable with. A couple of token whites if they behave.

We are almost going to be down to Wise Owl as the one feeder school for an entire nation. The spin will be ZC keeps cricket alive in Zim despite efforts from The Cabal to sink us.
We will almost end up with a pool of 11 players to choose from per age group. Don't laugh, it wont be far off that.

Mawoza's take on private school cricket being in a shambles wasn't too far from the truth, but it's still a lot better than what else is out there. Its in that state because there is no future for cricketers here. The guys theyre effectively recruiting have got nothing else. They can dream of 1500 bucks a month in a few years time for maybe 3 of them per year. Guys with options are persona non grata from this day forward.

I dont know if Mutendira still works at St Johns but if he does that would have been an interesting conversation with their board. These coaches are judged by how many guys they can wedge into an age group side. Either he has no say or he's just thought fukkit in for a penny in for a pound.

That Mob 3 journo's article was something. I see he claims to be an ex Zim cricketer, but I cant find any stats. What's with these guys and their claims of a cricketing background for relevance? You dont need one, just be a truth teller.

I see Larry is talking about a blockbuster match-up with England at Takashinga. I'm not sure he's used that word in context. The preoccupation with Britain is bizarre. Weve got bigger problems.

What I'm not completely understanding is the motivation behind this. It's beyond self destructive. They've literally more than halved our playing pool, which was miniscule anyway.
Let's start from grass roots with one school! That's a long and winding road with no succesful outcome. They've literally doubled down on their efforts to implode our cricket.

If the Mudenda's have got no sway then this new approach is really alarming. He could of course claim political asylum and try for a county. I refuse to believe he's been completely disregarded, we might see him in franchise and Takaz next season.

Who's the indian looking guy coaching the u19's? Never seen him before.

The outcome of this friendly triangular and the WC is almost certain, barring a miracle win somewhere. It's going to be tough to spin it, but theyve got the right man for the job.

Sameer Gawas is the head coach of the Omtex ICWC Cricket Institute in India. The Omtex Academy is where U19 cricketers train. Sameer Gawas was also part of the coaching staff when Zimbabwe played against Ireland later.

Its always alarming when there's a photo shoot and the coach is demonstrating a fwd defense or a cover drive.
Wonder why he's here?

ZC only have to be right one in 20 times (similar to their picks) to feel justified and for the usual guys to come out swinging. In-between they just maintain un-embarrassed radio silence. I've asked many guys why the hate and have never really had a satisfactory answer.
Competition from whites is not acceptable. Then of course they sideline some decent black guys as well.
Is it to prove black cricket is on the up? That's a part of it, but that ship has mostly sailed.
Is it payback for both real and perceived past injustices. I think that's a major factor. You'd have to be 35 years old at least to be carrying that chip. Unless you're white, then you can be 0-35  I wonder if that ever crosses anyone's mind?
Is there a point where people decide that we've been fucked enuf? We've been fucked way way more actually. The astonishing number of good white players that have been kicked to the curb far far exceeds the number of good black players that were overlooked, the ratio is off the chart. Is it not time to bury the hatchet? Where all men are equal?
Is this right to keep us down going to be passed on to the next generation? Mawoza is a good example. He shouldnt have an axe to grind but he's all over it.

Nobody has a chance of doing anything when the takaz boys think a strike rate of 43.75 is considered a successful knock
