The one's against ZIM are no less wrong, but they're your "regulation" bad calls. The one's against us, especially this innings have been HOWLERS. Chigs coulnd't have been plumber. Tamim's edge was missing by about a bat width. Ashraful's lbw the ball would have missed leg by 2 inches. 1 howler is bad, 2 unacceptable. We've gotten 3 in less than a session.
where outs become a matter of hypothesis, howlers are a matter of opinion (but even more dependant on perspective) my perspective was "WTF, i heard that nick in my kitchen (this is on two rooms away btw) how could he not give that" ... one of the Zim commentators says about your 2"lbw: "or it could having been mowing down leg stump, leg stump is also part of the game" ... he later says of the press box adjacent (BD commentators) : "in the box next door they're saying that even if there were two sets of stumps the lbw was missing..."

but, so far, the umpiring has left us talking and that's usually a bad sign
No howlers are not a matter of opinion. By defition a howler is something a school kid could decide on correctly.

Leg stump is part of the game except for when a ball wouldn't even have clipped it. The Ash lbw was probably not even going to hit the 4th stump.

Regardless, there's no real point in discussing this further. Just hope the umpires don't give anyone any more freebies for the rest of this tour.

20 overs gone (time to bowl some negative lines ... i think wickets will be very, very hard to come by now)

With 13 men on the field, I would not be surprised.

Not a bad ploy. If runs are made hard to come by, Bangladeshi batsmen would get jittery about setting a target with wickets in hand.
