Who has claims to Cremer, Ervine, Burl etc

And I doubt Welch or BRMT will play so Eagles will be down two top order batsman ......

Burl's a free agent as he wasn't on any phantom list last season. So he'll get picked up in the draft - a bargain at $500 too.

You'd think the top tier players will be snapped up during trade period (already the likes of Vitori, Chatara, Chakabva and Mutumbami have been) or retained by their existing franchises. So someone like Burl could conceivably go for a first round draft pick, which Mashonaland are primed for at the moment.

That's why I'm interested to see if anyone will make a play for that number 1 draft pick, which guarantees you first choice in the draft. As the saying in AFL goes though, you have to give up quality to get quality.

Ervine is also a free agent. Cremer is ineligible as he hasn't played Tests or FC for so long, which is unfortunate as he'd probably go pick 1 if he was.
And I doubt Welch or BRMT will play so Eagles will be down two top order batsman ......
Taylor might be a risk worth taking. Jarvis played a few games last season after all.
Guys like Welch and Vermeulen are in precarious situations though. They didn't play last season so if they don't get traded (or retained) then they won't go in the draft. So if the recent news about Vermeulen making another comeback is true, he's probably worth trading away pick 40-ish for.

I don't think we will be holding on to Welch especially over the uncertainty of whether he will play or not. BT is another one with uncertainty and unsure of. The only person I can say for certain that Eagles are going to retain and not entertain any offers for is Raza.

Every other player is available for consideration in the trade period and once that is over, a decision will be made on who our 2nd player to retain will be.

The other big piece of phantom news will be Jemisi's shock when he learns that he left as the manager of Mountaineers, and returns as the interim administrator of Mashonaland Country Districts

The Tuskers are happy with the current squad and will not be making any trades.

Yeah, what the hell?

Also how is Cremer not in the mix at $3000?

Whatever our franchise is called... things still up in the air re the branding... we are busy working on our setup.

We would like to announce that Totoro has joined our back room staff.

This can only strengthen our chances to win some silverware this season.

Thanks BRMT.

Is anyone else going to announce a retention?

I'd like to see MWR first pick and Tusker's as well before we announce our second.
