87. A photo that is now part of cricketing folklore. Steve Waugh setting an outrageous field from an ODI point of view. Who is the striker here?

I am bit confused. What i remember is that the match where whole of the off-side was packed, was played in Benson & Hedges World Series '94. I remember(i might b wrong) the commentary on Australian radio. Warne and Fleming were bowlng at that time but the confusion is it was Taylor who was the skipper and not Waugh. Law also scored a century in one of the match played at tasmania in that series.

Confusion is that Mutendra never played against Aust in Aust and also i am not sure whether the 9+2 field was repeated again by Taylor?

The match is this one, second ODI played between Australia and Zimbabwe at Harare in 1999. The Wisden Almanac Report gives a brief insight into this:
No. 11 Mutendera had just come in when Waugh gradually called his players into the cordon.
So, Steve Waugh was indeed the architect of this, the bowler in the picture is indeed Damien Fleming.

But another thing I just noticed: Look at where the non-striker Andy Blignaut is! Is he backing up towards the pavilion?
