I think SA makes a lot of sense, however the two nations do not appear to have as close a relationship as you'd imagine.
There are fiscal and logistical benefits of touring SA with the stars.
However, my gut tells me that the players and officials don't want a bar of a country that's become a bona fide banana republic.
England is more luxurious.
That's all well and good, except;
There's One glarrrring point that's being overlooked by everyone bar, sad to say, hhm.
WE CANNOT TOUR ENGLAND
Sanctions! Sanctions! Sanctions!
They have been in place since Mugabes wisdom thought farm theft was a tip top idea.
There is no relevant experience to be gained by English conditions!
Even if sanctions were lifted, what other country share the same cool wet climate as England in test cricket?
From a logical point of view, England is almost the dumbest place to gain exposure for a zimbabwean.
They also run the risk of being poached by clubs.
Any of the curry nations would make more sense to gain spin experience.
Aus/SA share similar conditions and WI are something different entirely.
I feel this if of taibu benefit only? Because he lives in England.....
Which by the way goes against everything we heard in 2011 about him giving up the western life to be immersed in the tabernacle church.
180 degrees or BS from the start?
