From 8/3 to 39/3 now at drinks...
According to Cricket Europe commentary the other opener is Matsikenyeri, not Mwakayeni. Only time will tell who is right - Cricinfo or CricketEurope. Given the dedication shown by the CricketEurope folks in covering these kind of matches, I would rather believe them.

CricInfo is now showing Matsikenyeri. Have to say I would trust CricketEurope over CricInfo any day.CrimsonAvenger wrote:From 8/3 to 39/3 now at drinks...

Lunch, Day One:
Zimbabwe XI 96/4 after 29 overs (Matsikenyeri 44, Ervine 40*, Westdijk 3/17, Loots 1/20).
Netherlands yet to bat.
Interesting to note that the two people who were getting the most stick after the one-day match are the only two to have shown any sort of backbone today.

Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe XI in Netherlands
Ok, no Williams due to injury, no Mutizwa, no Chatara and no Dabengwa
Waller making his first class debut while Chatara, everyones 'find of the century', sits on his hands is the one i don't understand
Lunchtime situation is a lot better than after 3 overs, so lets hope that Ervine, Coventry and Chakabva can push on this afternoon
I've no doubt that Sibanda is just saving himself for the 2nd innings, if we need a 2nd innings that is
Thanks for the welcome back maehara, glad you still have your sense of humour

Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe XI in Netherlands
How predictable is this?! Craig Ervine and Matsikenyeri end up being the two players who perform decently.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
