The fear of playing the Zim Wannabe Shouldbe XI is real.
What would be your lineup?

Ballance guest appearance
Curran
Welch
Naqvi
Williams
Campbell/Kamunhukamwe/Kaia
Welch Jr (kpr)

Ali Hasnain/Mike Frost
Jalat Khan/ Ali Frost
Matigumu
Nyauchi

That would be a nice 3 match series. I included the 2 pakistani bowlers because they're sharp. Ali Hasnain is particularly good.

They could set this up in a couple of days. There would be some awkward outcomes

Interesting thought experiment. Especially with the Pakistani fast bowlers added.

This is a quality team. Ali Hasnain is a spinner, and damned good.

Old bangers got bigger stones than cheatstan
IDK about all that...they did have an actual 4 day battle where they took some licks but got a few back as well.

But the ICC revenue miss is a big thing and they have leverage that BCB does not and eventually worked out a somewhat equitable neutral venues deal which the BCB couldn't manage.

Is that now or once they are there? Presumably all teams have one or two warm-up games.

Pakistan to take a final decision on WC participation by Feb 2nd.

I'm sure they won't boycott because it will be too late even for the ICC to find a replacement at such short notice and ICC will pose huge sanctions on the PCB in such a scenario.

There is some talk now about Pakistan forfeiting their game against India. Now this could actually be a tactical move by the PCB to avoid embarassment for their team because atm there is very high chance India smashing the hell out of Pak in a T20 game.

These politics open the door for Zim/Namibia/SA to host a lot more stuff.
The world is cooking. There's going to be a major upheaval soon. I pray not, but it's not looking good.
