It's got to be some personal grudge to say that on an occasion when he saved the day with the bat ?!

Word!

Btw, recently I find myself agreeing with a lot of your posts, Zimdoggy. I take it as a good sign ... for whatever ;)
I second that. Might have noticed him becoming the skipper of my own ZCF XI :)

Dont rate him, not really how he has picked up so many wickets, doesn't turn the ball much and keeps dragging it down short, in particular his quicker ball.

But then again 11 wickets @15 cant be sniffed at.

Lucky bastards, it's a damn good job the Afghans were suitably useless today, even worse than Zim that is

Hats off to Masakadza and Cremer and not forgetting Chisoro who hung around and helped add what could've been a very important 20 at the end, Jongwe 5-6 ?, well you can only take what's available but it's hardly much to brag about

Just 2 more miracles required now to save face, helpful moves would be to send Muzarabani home and PUT RAZA UP BATTING THE ORDER

Bat Waller at 4 would be a good idea.

Wow! I had to go away after our innings and had a glimmer of hope, but that is really something.

I'm feeling especially chuffed for Jongwe who has gone through a lean patch with both bat and ball lately, and we desperately need this kid to come through. Just keep the new ball out of his hands for now. With the bat another turn at the of the order might also free his mind.

Madziva: not sure why he's been warming the bench most of the year. It says a lot of a sportsman if he can channel all that disappointment and deliver on the few occasions when he gets the chance.

Madziva gets a raw deal in selection. kinda reminds me of the way Rainsford was treated.put him in for a prolonged spell now ZC

Great win though. any highlight packages anywhere as I missed it?

I had an odd feeling after that 100 run partnership but figured 180 or whatever wouldn't be tough to chase on what was a flat track. This reminds me of the game last year when Bangladesh folded for 58 chasing 100 odd with Binny taking 6 for 4 or something ridiculous. Jongwe strikes me as a Binny clone..the similarities are striking.

I just don't rate him as a player at all. He seems to be an introvert nice guy, so nothing personal. I axtually don't rate anyone in the current side, except Ervine and Cremer, and even then only slightly. Oh I do rate one guy, Chakabva. Williams to me is a whimsical player...he has talent but I feel like his heart ain't in the game. I think a host of players are over rated, starting with Chigs (altho people seem to come to grips with him). Raza to me is another Hami, good enough to beat Associates and might occaisionally tease against top sides but will throw it away when a Taylor would have kicked in to see the job through.

I had a 'good enough' thread a few months ago...safe to say only Chakabva would get that clasification, atm.

People may be surprised or disagree, but I think the biggest single talent in post rebel ZIM cricket is Cremer. And by talent I mean the ability to be the most devastating spinner in the world. However in 10 years he just hasn't been able to harness it into something meaningful. Only 29 he still has time as a spinner, although I wouldn't bet on it.

I had been among the chorus screaming for Musoko and Mumba, but now I'm starting to think if the senior team can't play Mirwais Ashraf, maybe Musoko and Mumba are as threatening as a Luke Jongwe?

Anyways congrats on the win...as an Associate fan this was very disappointing. Although Afghanistan have batted like shit in 8 consecutive matches vs ZIM. There has been an unwarranted collapse in all 8 games this year. Which is why I told jaybro, Cremer wouldn't made a difference to the home series result.
