5 spinners is the way to go I think. We have no pace bowlers who are anywhere near international ability. Our spinners are top class so we may as well play them.
We are also lacking a captain who can lead by example. Surely Taibu or Price when he returns are the best bets to be a decent captain. Chigumbura needs to focus on his own game, particularly bowling.

It will be better to have a series against Black Caps now rather than Bangladesh. NZ A has already played here so there should not be any concern for their national team.clikcspeed wrote:
Bayhaus, I totally agree with you on having a series with Bangladesh before WC. I think the result of that will definately be the measuring stick of how far we've progressed.

yeah man, we were so chuffed that he scored the century you'd think we had, one comment we said after seeing his reaction was that Taylor probably thought I would have loved if this century had been against an attack with Steyn, Morkel, and even Kallis as well. But he didnt celebrate much and am sure it would have been different had we been in a competitive position.Mike wrote:I'm just worried about the psychological state of our boys. Even after his century on Friday, Brandan looked dejected.
We definitely need that cos we have guys here who dont even watching cricket saying Zim is wack, who have no idea of the history behind and where we are coming from.sloandog wrote:leave with a little bit of pride.
Captain Captain Captain - Taibu has swallowed his pride why cant ZC? He has been tried and tested. Price - Race should not be an issue, These are definitely my candidates for the captaincy. I honestly dont know how Elton made it past Price if not for the reason of race. I am not a fan of Bowler Captain with excptions and Price is exactly that in the mould of Streak, Imran Khan et aleugene wrote:We are also lacking a captain who can lead by example. I was watching Elton Speak mostly listening to what he had to say, but you got it right here Sloan, this dude just aint happening, But if youy listen to Neil Johnson, that dude is so passionate and at least he speaks positively about the guys. Now Pommie asking the same questions shows he doesn't have a grasp and couldnt care less and is probably happy Zim are being beaten. Later for Him!sloandog wrote:You wouldn't think Pommie Mbangwa is a Zimbabwean would you ??
This Forum should really put through a "list of demands" to ZC as probably the Biggest and most Popular forum in the WORLD on Zim cricket surely the voice of zimcricket forums stands for something! But seriously I think some of the stuff said here is very relevant to Zim cricket, even if they would just read! I have asked some of the players if they read these forums, read after match reports etc?
