Well chaps, i think it's fair to say that a lot has happened in the past 12 months for Zimbabwe. In doing so many former players have returned, even Sean Ervine and Andy Blignaut. Gosh i thought i'd never be able to say that again :D May the good times continue to roll :P

I remember when I first joined this forum that many of us on here (including myself) spent alot of time recounting past triumphs of Zimbabwean cricket and fairly certain that things would only keep getting worse. It is amazing how things have changed in the last two years. I would have never imagined Sean Ervine, Grant Flower, Heath Streak, Alistair Campbell, Dave Houghton, Andy Blignaut, Ray Price would have ever returned.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Yeah we do need Panyangara back, but i think we've come a long way in terms of fast bowling over the last 6 months or so. Obviously we've found Kyle Jarvis, who's going to be a real star in the making. Tindai Chitara and Shingri Mazakadza are looking promising too. But yeah with Tinasche Panyangara back in teh fold, it'd be another boost for Zimbabwean Cricket :D

I think we should consider sending these young lads overseas , maybe Australia so that they get the right guidance they need for perfomance at the highest level . I know Streaky can do a good job but exposure to other conditions will work wonders in our treasure hunt for genuine pace , which is the main reason why most countries get huge run totals against Zim . Its better to invest in the long term and know we have a constant supply of genuine pace in the next 10 years . Even if it means going to the rural areas and look for people who are physically capable of fast bowling .I would go that way if i have the financial resources for such a hunt .
No pace then we always bullied by the big boys . We have the potential to bring up a West Indies 80s attack if we search in the right areas.

Where's Detective RDS now days ?? :( He was fantastic for bringing the latest news on the where abouts of our boys when they were over seas. He and Train Driver haven't visited the forum for some time. Shame. When i joined the forum 11 months ago, I always enjoyed reading Eugene's, BRM's, Train Drivers, Detective RDS's, Crimson Avengers and Zimfan1's posts. They were (And for those who are still on the forum, still are) fantastic pieces. In fact it was Detective RDS that drew me to the forum.

Ya Flower Power's a coach isn't he...??
I'm sure he mentioned something about being a coach. Personally I'd like to see a few guys return to the forum. Detective RDS wrote some superb pieces, and so did Train Driver.
I'm glad I'm on the forum though, I always enjoy logging onto my laptop and scrolling through the topics that some people have set :D
