It's official ZC adds BT to squad for second test.
Straight in for Tsiga.

Although i have a feeling Tsiga might pull out a decent innings here knowing Taylor is coming.

Dunno why Rainsford is suggesting taking the game to the bowlers now? Neither of these two play like that.
Bennett, Williams and Welch have the game for that, but they were under the pump and trying to survive. Had they tried to play shots then they would have been done. The pitch has calmed down a little and the bowling has loosened up a little as well.
Losing Welch before lunch was really unfortunate, he'd done all the hard work and it would have been a lot easier for him this afternoon.
Tsiga is going to have a rough time against Santner for sure. Plays seam well though.

I dunno how Ervine is still there, about 20 play and misses, he's going to get a score today.

I think it's a bit sad that we already have three 40-year-olds in the team and now we are going to add a 4th, all because our totally incompetent board have failed to develop a single replacement in the past decades. But we are where we are.

Welcome back legend

Santner getting lots of turn and a couple staying low.
Just been on X and social media. Some ugly stuff out there as usual.
Years ago ICC should have allowed Zim and SA to field 2 separate teams
All of this ugliness is ICC's fault

Tsiga has gotten himself in here. A nice innings from him and he'll get the next game. Means they'll probably axe Welch. Its a bit weird because he looked really solid.
We need that seaming all-rounder rounder so badly for that extra batter.

Twitter just becomes the same thing over and over.

I feel Tsiga might get some runs. I wonder if Raza be happy to give way to Taylor.

Williams retirement from bowling also doesn’t help our balance.

Raza offers a spin option. We all know he can do some damage, but this is tough opposition. He's struggling against this seam attack but hes proficient against spin.

That is an outside option, as strange as it sounds. We need that extra batsman somehow. We're a batsman light now.

We remain the only team in world cricket without a seaming all-rounder. Its like playing without a keeper.

Has he truly retired from it or is this more rumour because he was injured?
