And in other breaking news Mr Mliswa, the self appointed Chair of the Parliamentary welfare committee is pushing for salary reviews and is stating that if they are all bought VX 200 series (70k vehicle before duty), they then won’t sleep during parliamentary sessions. Apparently it’s the uncomfortable car rides that are making legislators doze off.

And not one like or retweet from any individual. I see cricketzimbo are retweeting now. Let’s see players getting behind him! C’mon lads. This is the final battle, there’s no coming back from this. Take your shivering lily livered asses off your hands and do what’s right for once.
Hammy you can jump the fence, you’ll get an immunity idol.

Now that all is lost fire the couch retire the likes of hammy and his crew who been useless on the ground and not standing up against that corrupt board, Get H Streak back as a couch and get the guys from our golden days and Taibu as board members, selectors and technical staff. Either that or we all never rise again. At times you wonder how these corrupt ZANU guys think, Anything which is clearly showing sines of a better greatness for the nation they just block, cut and destroy it, Multi currency was getting us back on our feet but no they brought their Bond Note which killed the economy instead of learning from that now banning all currency's, Heath streak, Taibu and Creamer had a good thing going, but ZC had to fire them and hand their stooge captaincy role guess thanking him for supporting their bull s... always. Bringing us a couch losing a series to Ireland and Netherlands. hope the freezing of finances will help rid off ticks.

African politics, it’s done very differently here. Been here my whole life and no closer to understanding the convoluted intricacies of battle. There never is one really. The person in the ascendancy slowly but surely isolates his opponent and gets the law, the army and the police behind him and then he pounces. If there’s a slight chance that he can get a scratch in the scuffle he will wait. It’s slow poison, no one ever really stands up like in a bar room scuffle. This is a high stakes game.

have a dig into goodwill mamhiyos thread, he states all the facts and as googly mentioned in one of his posts, the players hold so much power but they do not realise it. he talks about the disparites btwn the nationally contracted and franchise contracts.

I’d like to see the full text of their communique, if that’s it above, then it’s not all doom and gloom at all.
They’re having a dip at both sides-
They’re saying there hasn’t been free and fair elections AND gov must not interfere. That’s a smack on the wrist for both sides.
I didn't read it the same way as you unfortunately, I felt their "free and fair elections" reference was to do with the interim board not being duly elected. Everything the ICC did was an attack on the interim board and possibly the senior players supporting the interim board (who stands to lose the most by banning Zim from the WT20 Qualifiers?).

I think this mess is unrecoverable now. Mire's retired, surely there will be more to come. Players aren't just going to sit around for months doing nothing - ZC can't pay them. The ICC won't be paying them. They will get other jobs, people will drift away.

Can anyone think of any sequence of events that happens starting from now that doesn't end in the collapse of Zimbabwean cricket?

I agree that their statement was open to interpretation.
I’ve always been the doomsayer until now. I’ve always known it would come to this. It’s like Zim, you can’t loot forever, the money will run out. Most of our money goes to repaying a cleverly thought out fictitious loan then the rest is split amongst the new pigs at the trough because the old pigs are now cleverly eating long distance, it’s like a ZC takeaway. The new pigs are only there by the goodwill of the old ones who knew they couldn’t chance their snouts any longer at the trough.
I want to believe that some cool heads would know this would possibly be the ICC reaction and that’s they’re swinging plan A into action, not even plan B.
