That's very harsh target. I don't know if they got the calculation wrong, but basically they took 19 overs from Zimbabwe and only took 27 from the target.
Maybe being 3/9 after 4.4 overs had something to do with it.

As for the D/L score... let's face it, at 4/26 we're not going to get anything close to a respectable score. Best we can hope for is a half-century from Murray or Burl IMO.

Under DL you're basically penalised if you've lost wickets before the interruption. I understood it as a team has resources to achieve the target, overs and wickets. If you've blown, or are blowing, those resources in the attempt to get that target then the adjusted target is less favourable than it would have been otherwise. 9/3 after 4.3 overs would be considered blowing the resources hence the apparently harsh revised target. At least that's how i understand it.

Brilliant fightback by BURL.
6 sixes in 3 overs.
He is 54 from 43 now.
Good to see this from Zim. Have been very disappointing until BURL.

Associates are allowed to have 20 year olds play U-19. Nowadays ICC does bone x-ray tests to check for age. Its true Rashid Khan looks 25, but a lot of people look a lot older than they are, especially if you are exposed to stressful environments. Cigarettes can do the same thing as well.afghankhan wrote:You can easily add 5 years to both their ages.zimfan1 wrote:The chap Shahidullah is apparently 17, the biggest 17 year old i have ever seen, oh and Rashid Khan is supposed to be 18. Always some questionable practices going to with Afghanistan Under 19 sides, no wonder we never beat them.
That's why I don't take Afghan u.19 seriously.
One of my best friends looked 30 at age 19.

This series is really making me think it is time to pack it in. Perhaps I should support Namibia or something?

I stand to be corrected but they use ossification of the growth plates in the wrist up to aged 18 and then the clavicle up to 22. It's expensive, exposes you to radiation (unless it's an MRI) and not that accurate.
