Out for 33 on the stroke of lunch :o

He is underachieving just slightly in the batting department as A man of his undoubted talent should have a few 50's to his name for northants. Nethertheless a good cameo there from e the equation. He is certainly bowling well and northants will be well happy with his 5 wickets, I can see his contract being extended :D

I don't see why they wouldnt extend his contract. We need him there! THEY need him there and if they don't renew his contract it will become political, Bob will intervene, we will here statements like "They can go hang" amongst other crude statements from a statesman and you can fill in the details...Renew the contract and save us from a lot of rhetoric!

I sure hope he does get an extension on his contract :D
I watched Anthony Ireland bowl against Yorkshire tonight, he didn't bowl well at all and his pace was down (Flashes of the old Anthony Ireland). When I've seen him bowl in previous games he been clicking up to 87mph where as in todays game his quickest ball was 80 Mph

That's not really all that good an economy rate though...

3.50 isn't great, but it's not terrible mate

It is great from eltons point of view. His economy rate is quite high in the county championship even though he has been taking wickets consistently
