Totally agree, i read the article this morning and was surprised, for once, that the writer didn't try to throw any nasty remarks in at all, Mark seems to be recovering well through both his own efforts and those of the Zimbabwean cricket fraternity.
Very nice as well to see his comments on the part Ozias Bvute has played in his return to cricket, i guess he's a man that's had a pretty bad press at times so it's good to see the positive help he's been to Mark.
Personally i think that Mark should repay all this faith in him by scoring lots and lots and lots of runs

Ah, that was a moving piece by Ian Chadband. Great work indeed and my salute to the 'phoneix'.

Touching story for sure....Ozias did something positive for a change.
So, for the past seven months, Vermeulen reckons he has donated $75,000 (£47,000) in match fees to help rebuild the academy and Zimbabwe Cricket now considers his debt paid
Damn! these guys are getting paid

A surprise article on Mark

I guess the only problem would be how he was received by supporters, they may accept him back as a new character, or they could make his life a misery with 'amusing' comments.

I've just been reflecting on this report for a few minutes as one little thought came to mind, Mark Vermeulen wasn't out lbw, he was out caught in the 1st and only Tuskers innings.
A true story or one with a little journalistic licence i wonder ..........
