Herald's year end roundup of Zim Cricket

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

The Herald rounds up Zimbabwean Cricket, and paints the picture a little too rosy for my liking. The author picks and chooses Cricinfo articles that are favorable and bases the story around them.
by the end of the year, there was little to choose from between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
This statement might actually be true, but the results and the way we approached the games against Bangla haven't established this as a fact. It is obvious we have marauded Kenya, but we can't claim to be equals with Bangla with the kind of results we had this year.

But anyway, it is good to read all nice things about Zim Cricket for a change ;)

Yes, there have been improvements in leaps and bounds, but a lot would have to be done in coming years to sustain the growth.

Whose article is this – Robson Sharuko’s or Cricinfo’s?

There are? I personally doubt it. I thought Indian media never bothered about Cricket in countries like Zim, especially after the departure of Flowers and Streak. There are a lot of Indians in the forum, share the links to the stories / upload the scans and one of us can translate for the benefit of others.

I'm sure Dr.Situ would be more than willing to, if he finds time... :)
