Great news. As many as 8 matches per team! Should be good practice for some up and coming players who would otherwise not get such opportunities. I don't remember there ever being so comprehensive a reserve competition, another sign that it is quite a professional system that is currently being developed.
However, I wonder if we will ever get scorecards from these games?...

I remember to years ago there was a reserve logan cup with the teams being called Gold, Green, Red and Blue and i think they were just a combination of all the reserve players across the country but where bussed in to Harrare.
But its good to see the ZC are starting from the bottom up and not just looking at the top.

You're right, there have been various versions of a Logan Cup B division before. I remember Brendan Taylor getting a double hundred when he was very young in one such game. However, I can't remember there ever being as comprehensive a fixture list as this previously.

With John Ward (one of the worlds leading Cricket Statisticians) back in Zimbabwe and working for ZC there is every chance. His return has coincided (but no coincidence) with the considerable improvement in the scorecards and info we are receiving via Cricinfo regarding the Domestic competitions.
