its great to see so many players return to the fold even in the past few weeks nkala , aliseni and potentially blignaut and grand flower in a coaching role but they are still so many who were talked about that never actually returned like Trevor Gripper so i thought id create this thread to brainstorm just who was " meant " to come back but never did? im sure there are many more then gripper
Current List: Campbell Macmillan , Dougie Marillair ,Travis Friend , Andy Blignaut , Trevor Gripper , Anthony Ireland, Sean Ervine , Tinashe Panyangara , Colin Grandhomme , Ian Nicholson & Gary Balance

Campbell Macmillan, Dougie Marillair and Travis Friend were also tipped to return. Sahme nothing ever came about that as Friend and Macmillan had some serious pace. Friend especially..

Why should he Jamthala ?? He turned his back on his country of birth in 2005/06 and refused to play. Why should he just walk into this team when the likes of Lamb, Mutizwa, Meth and Muruma are performing on a consistant basis. Sibanda is another man that has gone away and improved his game. Blignaut, in my mind should not be in this Zim side unless he proves that he can be the force he once was.

While I agree that Andy Blignaut shouldn't just walk back into the team, I think it is unfair on him to say he turned his back on the country. He returned from the rebel strike and played a few games and then walked out after Zimbabwe Cricket refused to pay him. He always maintained he would return to zimbabwean cricket once he was paid the outstanding match fees.
