A meer 124* from a very talented and exciting Gregory Lamb. I think he, vusi sibanda and Keegan Meth have earned their national call ups above all others. They really have shown their quality this season

Re: [Match Thread] Rhinos v Eagles (Logan Cup)
I'll be amazed if there is room for all three in the squad. Its going to be very hard to drop certain players such as Matsikenyeri and Coventry who in my opinion should miss out on the tour but who have scored runs in the last six months.sloandog wrote:A meer 124* from a very talented and exciting Gregory Lamb. One thing to note about Sibanda, he has only done it in 4 day cricket not in the one day stuff so should this mean that he should be in the one day side???

Hmm good point. Personally i'd have him in regardless of how fluent and at what pace his innings is. His form of late is sensational, and i think he deserves his place in the side. Not sure wether or not he'd open mind, as i think Vermuelan may be retained for one more series along side Coventry. I doupt Chibahba will be in the mix with players like this coming through. It's a wonderful situation to be in if your Heath Streak and Alistair Campbell and Grant Flower and John Rennie and Dirk Vijolenzimfan1 wrote:One thing to note about Sibanda, he has only done it in 4 day cricket not in the one day stuff so should this mean that he should be in the one day side???

Admittedly I am commenting from Australia without seeing the matches in person, but I can't believe there is any speculation that Sibanda not be included in Zim's next international commitment. His strike rate (about 65/100balls) in Logan Cup is better than Matsikenyeri,Coventry, Taylor & Chigumbura. Only Ewing, Strydom & Mutizwa at the time of writing is greater (of those who have scored reasonably this season). And he has a gob full of runs under his belt. If nothing else, if he has the ability to bat 50 overs then an innings can be based around him.sloandog wrote:Hmm good point.
