cricinfo sides for this game

Mountaineers : H Masakadza*, Maruma, S Masakadza, Matsikenyeri, Mawoyo, Mlambo, Ncube, Nyamuzinga, Taibu, Tiripano & Utseya

Rocks : Maregwede*, Chibhabha, Chinyengetere, Chitongo, Ervine, Kamungozi, Machiri, Matanga, Mahwire, Munyaradzi & Mutumbami

Kenya have their Intercontinental Cup match against Scotland starting on 25th january so that, presumably, explains the absence of both Steve Tikolo and Thomas Odoyo, Kenya are then due to play a 20/20 tri-series against Scotland and Uganda.

Rocks have been put in and are 16-0 from 8 overs, Machiri 9*, Maregwede 3*

A very attrcative looking 55 from Craig Ervine, the sole white player out of both the sides and the only player in his team to reach 50. Well bolwed to Maruma, yet another 5 for :D The Zimbabwe selectors have their work cut out

Things looking pretty good for Mountaineers at tea

170-2 from 52 overs, Hamilton Masakadza 63*, Taibu 18*, Mlambo 57, Mawoyo 28

Rocks managed to add just 3 runs for their last 2 wickets this morning Shingi Masakadaza taking both wickets

Still no close of play score then, someone must be after those pigeons again ;)

Mountaineers 249-3 with Hamilton Masakadza 99* and Stuart Matsikenyeri 17*, Tatenda Taibu just missing out with 43

Rocks are looking to be struggling again and won't be helped by losing Steve Tikolo and Thomas Odoyo, on the good side Craig Ervine has passed 1000 1st class runs, Blessing Mahwire 1500 and Alester Maregwede 2500 during this match

Here we go:

Southern Rocks 263 (95.1 overs; Ervine 55, Maruma 5/107)
Mountaineers 308/4 (H Masakadza 141*, Kamungozi 2/49)

Hamilton having a good day, it seems...

This is Masakadza's 4th LC century for the season & ninth in all. He is now equal with Neil Ferreira with most LC centuries. At the time of writing he is 183 * which 5 runs from his alltime highest. He also sits clear second highest LC rungetter (behind Matsikenyeri) although he is only about 50 runs in arrears.

...and 183 is as far as he got. The curse of the commentator strikes again? Unlucky, at any rate...
