I remember him being pretty good for St Georges. It's good that he is getting a little first class experience. Mybe if he is good then one of the local teams will approach him to play for us, unless the English get him first.

Hey Lostart that's an awsome list of scorecards and former players from 2000-2009 mate. It's interesting looking at the list, i noticed players like Jordan Nicolle, a pacey lad. I saw him bowl in 2004 and he looked sharp. And i never knew that Piet Rinke played for the Under 19's side

U learn something new every day i guess. But it's nice to see some of our past stars that could have had fruitful careers had they stayed with Zimbabwe

To be honest i would not read to much into this signing as those who follow county cricket will be aware of Worcestershires finanical state and they are unlikey to be able to bring in any proven players. I.E why they have gone for the likes of Cameron, Shakib al Hasan and John Simpson (unproven players).
Also Cameron was knocking around the second elevens of Surrey and Essex last season without making any significant contriubution, which explains why he was passed up by both sides.

But I just can't understand the hoopla this news has created: i.e., the signing of Cameron by Worcs. I could find some 30 links that talked about it. Is it because he shares his name with that movie director or is it common?

Actually Zimfan1 Shakib Al Hasan is very much a proven player. He was ranked as the no.1 all-rounder in ODI Cricket only the other month. My statistical knowledge is not great, but i know that he was the leading wicket taker in ODI's last year, and the same applies with the bat. It's a common strend nowdays, players from Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are classed as "unworthy" of playing county cricket, things are deffinetly changing
