I'm sure the pitches were tough with all this rain and sub standard ground staff and facilities but that's still a poor scorecard. Willie Mashinge is a good youngster, there's clearly some seniority in that side because he should have been higher up the order than that. He was u19 last year and can hold his own with the men. That's less to do with his ability (although I rate him) than a lack of from the others.

Game between Rainbow and Amakhosi was rained out at KweKwe .game called off at 1430. Amakhosi seemed to mirror a Tuskers side and Rainbow a Mash Eagles 3rd team side.

Near constant rain for 24 hours here in Kwekwe. Even with our good drainage system we're going to need serious sunshine. Not sure of the forecast but looking iffy. And of course they want the Afghans here on the 24th...

Rainbow collapsed to a heart wrenching loss to Bitter Rivals Takashinga Patriots in a thriller at Old Hararians. Takashinag won the toss and set 204 for the loss of 7 on the back of a strong 62 from Regis Chikabva who lost opening batting partner Kieth Kondo early on in the 4th over by a peach of a delivery from Zhawi. The patriots quickly recovered with a sting second wicket partnership between Chikabva and Maunze who put 30 odd by taking the score from 7 for 1 to 110 in the 25th. The stand was brocken when Mupunga returned for his second spell to bowl Maunze . Chakabva was bowled for 62 soon after with Zhawi comming around the wicket with a vicious in swinger.

Rainbow got off to a flyer as openers Makauyo and Njanji whi was making a come back after a nasty head injury took rainbow to 63 in the first 8 before Makuyao fell to Tanya Munyaradzi. Gupo scored 3 before Chasing a legside delivery that was tickled to the Keepr Chakabva.Enter Chirimmuuta who with Njanji moved Rainbow pass 100 and at the 20 over drinks break where they were 115 for 2. The drinks break did the trick as Maunze bowling his offies got the wicket of Njanji fr 43 in controversy as Chakabva appeared to knock the bails from a tight delivery adjudged to have been bowled. Veteran Chinyegetere came in and took the score from 115 to 167 with Chirimmuta brining up his 50 off 30 balls. Robbo was dismissed with Rainbow requirig a getable 48 off 60. Maunze rung the changes and brought back Munyaradzi and Muzarabani which saw Rainbow drop from 179 - 4 to a dissaping 184 all out as the pressure of chasing got the to the team with a number of reckless shots being played in an attempt for a quick end
