[Match Thread] Tuskers v Eagles (Logan Cup)

Post by maehara »

Matabeleland Tuskers v Mashonaland Eagles
Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo, 3-6 February 2010

This one is pretty much a dead rubber - it's Eagles' final match before the final, which they're already assured of playing in. Tuskers likewise are out of the running for a final place, and are just playing for pride.

Eagles testing out their bench strength. Will be interesting to see how they go, on paper you would expect the Tuskers to win comfortably.

I see that we have team change, the Eagles side is now showing Innocent Chinyoka in place of Kyle Jarvis, it's so long since i've heard of Chinyoka that i thought he must have given up, nice to see him back.

Tuskers now moved onto 290-3 from 72.3 overs, Dabengwa 85*, Coventry 12*, Ebrahim 74, Mujuru 71, Duffin 19

Zhuwawo 1-0, Masvaure 1-34, Munyede 1-43 as Eagles have used 9 bowlers so far

My learning for the day: Stop taking unwanted swipes at Dabengwa. He is getting too consistant for our comfort. :?

Eagles have slipped into a bit of trouble now falling from 172-3 to 193-6 in reply to Tuskers 425-8d

Prince Masvaure out for 94, Regis Chakabva 41, Forster Mutizwa 25

Mutizwa had the honour of becoming the 100th first class wicket for Keith Dabengwa

Killer bowlers for Tuskers are Dion Ebrahim with 2-14 and John Nyumbu 2-44

Eagles 232 behind with just a couple of overs left today
