Minimum of 20 overs have to be bowled for the result to be considered. We can't afford to wait till 20 overs I guess. Finish it off as early as possible should be the approach now that both seem to be settled a bit.Jemisi wrote:how many overs for a match? 15? As long as we aren't 6 or 7 down inside 15 overs we should win. 112 from 42 is a very low target

It came down from 25 to 20 with the advent of T20 cricket.Jemisi wrote:Is it 20 these days? I reckon I remember some 15 over minimums
And we are well on our way. This is how we should be dealing with teams like Afg regularly if we have to demand better treatment at the ICC.
Re: 4th ODI: Zimbabwe v Afghanistan
wow..that 6 by Mire was huge...straight over the top.ball lost. I don't think there is a better striker of the ball in the team..it would be interesting to rank the big hitters.
for me its
1-Mire
2-Waller
3-PJ
4- Elton
5- Hami
honourable mentions Raza, the myth of Cephas Zhuwao and Musakanda who looks like he packs a punch

I'm sure I remember Richie Benaud discussing the possibility of a 15 over game during summer storms over here
