Another Pak tour could be on

Looks like we would be going to Pakistan again: https://www.samaa.tv/pakistan/2017/03/z ... stan-tour/

The fact that Zim sports minister Hlongwane is there in a delegation which also includes Mukhulani makes the final announcement of the tour just a formality. But I'm not sure if this is such a great idea. If Pak authorities are not on their toes as they were when we toured last time and the PSL final, we could be in trouble.

But looks like anything would do to get some game time it seems. And may be get some brownie points with Pak that they can use later for a tour or something. High risk stuff.

I hope its true.. I'm sure the players wouldn't mind another 10000 dollar payday. we need as many games as possible. I wonder how long they would go for this time. hopefully its around the same time as the Sri Lanka tour.. I would want to see how our guys would fare with some constant game time. a couple of months overseas should surely get some consistency going. hopefully they get Ireland on board too and maybe Bangladesh to tour us at the end of the year.

I agree it's too risky and a bad idea, like last time. Remember there was an attack outside the ground last time... If it has to happen though it should be for Tests.

Tests are riskier as it involves spending more time in PAK. A two match series would require potentially a full 14-15 day stay. Half that or even less for a LOI series.

Bottom line is, I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig (there is some talk of the PCB trying to get BD to tour)...but if the ZIM players get a lot of money out of it and go of their own free will...power to them.

does anyone have any info on how profitable the last tour w as?

the series in general and the players?

If they have the place on lockdown and its a big payday, how bad can it be.

There would be lower attendances at Tests though so fewer people to worry about. But I see your point about the duration.

How much do we really trust the Pakistani security forces? They haven't always displayed 100% competency.

What would pakistani militants gain from bombing their own players and a touring team from south central africa, who are half black?

If terrorism is politically fuelled....you could do better.

Well unlike Western nations like England or Australia, ZIM wouldnt be targets. BD wouldn't be targets either as a majority Muslim team. However, PAK militants don't have specific targets 90% of the time. They mostly kill other Muslims. You wouldn't want to be caught in the crossfire.
