Windies still have talent, especially for LOIs. Depends on how much passion still exists in the younger generation.

the politics in the Windies setup is almost as bad as ours and I actually think they are the closest full member to us. they suffer a lot of mental problems likes us as shown by how they played when they were in Zim.

back to the main point I get the issues off the pitch and that numbers don't always tell the full story but I will also point out that the players on national contracts are letting themselves down. There is no better example than Hamilton Masakadza. massive talent with a load of experience. dominates zim domestic scene.even went to the domestic scene in Bangladesh as well and did very well. picked up a bit of form last year but as soon as things got tough he just didn't have the guts for it. now he averages slightly LESS than Heath Streak in ODIs. shameful

There is a huge difference in the problems facing by West Indies & Zimbabwe. West Indies Cricket Board has made a tough rule for their players " Only those players who will play first class cricket in West Indies will be eligible for Selection in Test & Odis". Because of this rule stars like Chris Gayle, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine are not considered for selection in test or odis as these players are of huge demand in T20 Franchise Cricket throughout the world, they take franchise committment first then the nation, hence West Indies are struggling in longer formats due to lack of these experienced stars. With Jimmy Adams now in WICB, is trying to sort out this crisis and make West Indies shine again.

Zimbabwe on the other hand are still producing talents and skilled playets, but they are running away to represent other nations. A huge number of Zim talents is in UK & SA taking par in domestic and local tournaments . At the international level Ballance, Cartwright, Grandhomme is proving their talents, its the failure of Zimbabwe Cricket to keep them in the country due to huge financial crisis and least infrastructure in domestic cricket.
Robo to rule
