Right now Wes Madhevere is currently sitting in position No.114 in the all time Zimbabwe Test runs charts, he is 114 of 114. Can he finish his career as No.1 ??

I can see him climbing into the top 100 fairly quickly,

I struggle to see us playing enough games for him to pass Flower.

Even getting to 1000 or 2000 is going to be a big ask.

Hami and BRMT just made it past 2000.

Crazy that Mavuta has gotten to 100 wickets so quickly!!! I watched a fair bit of him bowl against the Goats, he’s still got massive control issues, his ‘bounding run up’ and his ripping action do him no favours when it comes to control. I feel unless he makes adjustments to his action he’ll always be the same.

150 First Clasd wickets for Chisoro too according to the Rocks’ Twitter handle

Yeah, he seems to purchase wickets but he does get them.

Yes I also was not impressed by Mavuta’s control but he does pick up wickets. It’s just worrying when domestic players are scoring freely off him. I think he will be a late bloomer. Spinners tend to get better with age and they can play until they are 40.

The best chance he has is to learn from Tiripano and seriously work on his batting. Burl is a serious threat to his career and there is Nyangani as well who offers something different. So he only has 1 option

A lot of Mavuta's wickets in the last couple of seasons have been tailenders. Also, the high economy rate in Logan Cup matches is a huge giveaway. I hope the selectors don't just look at the wicket column and pick him for an upcoming series. He is undercooked and it will be a massacre. Better to give him a couple of years to develop his game and control.
