Right, so Hamilton back in form, running himself out for 11 in the latest match. But he did get 2 wickets with the ball as his team won narrowly.

Interesting ploy to bowl Hami at the death.

http://www.dhakatribune.com/sport/crick ... al-salary/

According to this Hammy makes $66,000 a year from his Zim contract...about double what shakib or Mushfiq made up to know. BD boys will now make 58,000...but still well behind Hammy and less than half what an Angelo Matthews or a Younis Khan earn. Beggers is right (although with match fees and domestics BD top graded players will now earn a little over $200,000 per year...which would put them in the top 1% of income earners in a country like the US).

the guys on national contracts in Zim are paid decently although not always on time. this is why I'm always trying to say that the players are also to blame for our mess. they dont try hard enough for the amount of money they are getting in this kind of economy. i think there was even an X contract in Zim a few years ago where Taylor and Elton were earning even more.

At the end of the its all about players in any sport barring american football (coaching is more relevant due the complexities of strategy and play calling). The players win or lose, score runs or take wickets, not admins or coaches. But when the admin chases all the good players away, its a different story.

Hamilton's form has ebbed and flowed in the DPL, as of now standing at 223 runs from 7 matches. He top scored in another defeat in his last match with a 45. A couple of run outs while looking good hasn't helped. He is just 3 runs behind the top scorer of his team, KKC, with Tushar Imran at 226. Looks like he is in one of the weaker teams of the competition with no one really standing up to be counted. Familiar territory for him. Stands 18th in the overall leading run scorers list of this season. Not inspiring.

DPL is a long tourney...15 games, 2 months. Hard to maintain form for any cricketer. Plus this the hottest part of the year in BD.
