Zimbabwe votes for ICC reform

Interesting times ahead. looks like we have dumped our usual big brother India and voted for the changes. the reviewing of full membership was dropped as well. looks like the other boards really did convince us. I have a feeling there is a huge financial reward in this for us. no way Mukuhlani took such a risk without something else behind it. I suspect we are going to get a financial bail out and that is why they were slashing salaries and appointing a foreign MD. if people remember one of the conditions for a bail out last time was an independent MD which ZC refused. real politics at play here. India will be fuming.

India is the only strong side regularly visited Zimbabwe even in the tough times when other strong teams like Australia, New Zealand, England even South Africa neglected to tour Zimbabwe and being neighbours also give less importance to Zimbabwe

Most recently Indians played series regularly with Zimbabwe 2013, 2015 and most recently 2016, giving Zimbabwe an equal importance as an international side in return they needed Zimbabwe's vote in ICC.

Now, Situation might change as Zimbabwe gone against India. Billateral Series MOU might be affected.

Among other nations,Pakistan has always put condition against Zimbabwe i,e Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe only if Zimbabwe agrees to play Pakistan in Pakistan. When it comes to Sri Lanka
, they visited Zimbabwe after a gap of six years, thats make clear intention of neglection

Bangladesh have began to use Zimbabwe for their purpose now, they avoided return tour to Zimbabwe Tour in 2014, 2015, 2016 and always played with Zimbabwe in Bangladesh as an international preparation for bigger tournaments like World T20 or World Cup. Bangladesh are now more interested to play against bigger teams by dumping Zimbabwe Tour nearly every year.

Kiwis and Windies plays with Zimbabwe to a much lesser extent. Aussies kept Zimbabwe in neglection. England are out of ties with Zimbabwe in Cricket since 2003 Massacre.

Zimbabwe Might have done biggest mistake by going against India, now they might have to be left only with the Associates

Zimbabwe will have to pay for this vote against BCCI. They might get temporary bail out but on longer term they stand to loose India tours.

India only sent their A team. when was the last time they sent their first XI?

9-1 means the rest realized their stregnth as one.

C team, B Team, Z team doesn't matter. Games were all of International status, players represented National Team and the thing that matters most is India never neglected or pulled off touring Zimbabwe like others did and nearly played whenever the officials arranged series between the two countries.

When its comes to India A team. The level of infrastructure India got even A teams looks like strong national team. In recently held practice matches of all the tour India got this season. A team performers shined. Uncapped stars like Shreyas Iyer slammed a double ton against Aussies. Players like Pant, Nair all did well. Even A team were in the verge of defeating Bangladesh, thanks to the game being of two days.

Biggest Mistake by Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe now, hardly will be able to arrange matches against top teams to get equal share of revenue.

Billaterial Series ties with India might be under threat now. Playing Against Ireland, Afghanistan, Scotland or Netherland won't give ZC much profit.
Robo to rule

News trickling in:
BCCI will receive $293m across the eight year cycle under @ICC's revised financial model passed in #Dubai ICC meet. ECB will receive $143m, ZC $94m, and the remaining seven Full Members $132m each. Associate Members will receive a funding of $280m
That makes it a guaranteed $11.75 million for ZC every year for 8 years. Not sure if it is more or less than before, but this money seems to have convinced the ZC bosses.

Great news, it's about time India took a kick in the nuts as no one country should be able to boss the others around

I very much hope that ICC keep hold of the $94m and just hand it out to ZC on an as required basis

$94m is not enough for Zimbabwe Cricket to compensate their huge debt.

Dumping India means, no more India tour to Zimbabwe will take place for a quite few years now, as they were the only asian team who visited Zimbabwe regularly in return of Zimbabwe's Vote of Support.

It's plain and simple tough luck on ZC, they are the ones who have stolen and wasted all the money they have received in the past, nobody should be expected to compensate ZC for anything other than the thieves if and when they are ever held to account, it's real tough on honest and decent Zimbabweans but that's life

India send the players they want when they want to, that doesn't mean Zim should get on their knees and kiss the arses of the Indians, the Indians have done very well out of being supported by others over the last few years thank you very much
