Re: Line up 2018 qualifiers
Lets think not far ahead to 2019, We will know what is true status of zim cricket on Scotland and Netherlands tour. Zim stand hardly any chance for 2019 world up to qualify, Afghanistan and a full strength west indies team can beat them any time , anywhere. Even if zim can come in top four in the qualifiers it will be big boost for their confidence. They should start preparing team for 2023 World cup. My words may seem harsh but that is reality of Zim cricket now.

Brandon Taylor currently playing seconds in County Cricket is someone to put firmly in the plans. KJ could also be available putting pressure on Chatara

Interesting that Brendan Taylor is now playing in Notts 2nd XI. His 3rd year will be up at the end of the season. Intrigued to know his plans might be going forward.
Re: Line up 2018 qualifiers
Is there really a chance of Jarvis ever coming back? Looked like he had turned his back on us but I also don't know if he has hopes of playing for England as I think he would have to wait 7 years and by then he won't be at his peak as a fast bowler. What does he really want? Financial stability or to play for England

Re: Line up 2018 qualifiers
As much as BT would be a boost to our team where would he bat. Our 3 , 5 and 6 are now in someway Settled with Ervine , Williams and Burl . Meaning he would have to slot in at 1 2 or 4.Mire seems to have 1 pegged down with Chamu meaning Masakadza vs BT. BT may not be the same player he was during the World Cup and how would he affect team Chemistry with what Streak is building. There are also questions on quotas with possibly having 7 white players in the squad one Asian in Raza meaning 3 black players when we include PJ and Cremer

Re: Line up 2018 qualifiers
The quota problem is something that unfortunately is going to creep up again knowing the way our game is run. its gonna be very interesting to see what they do.. we already have a potential situation where PJ Burl Malcolm Waller Ervine Williams and Cremer can play together. The did all play in that Dreadful Final ODI against Afghanistan so maybe there is no quota system.. but add Raza and BT to that team and you could get some people talking although it looks like right now ZC just wants to survive and isn't worried about that. Their ICC funding is more important
Re: Line up 2018 qualifiers
ICC has recently changed the financial system and boosting Zimbabwe with funds to clear their debts has been another step. New MD has been appointed, mainly to look after the proper use of funds.
ICC should help Zimbabwe with funds on the grounds of removing " qouta system " and "skin colour politics " which has damaged the cricket map of Zimbabwe 14 years before and are still somewhere there.
ICC should stop funding if racial quota politics is not removed from Zimbabwe. Cricket is played with skills not skin colour. Performances should be the measure of selecting player in the squad wheather it be 11 whites or 11 blacks.

Performing against weakest minnows like Namibia and scoring runs in one of the weakest domestic leagues like " Logan Cup " will not make Masakadza better then Taylor.
Masakadza has been biggest disappointment against quality oposition like Afghanistan or even Dhaka League of Bangladesh.
Taylor should fit in the playing xi without any disagreement. Masakadza should be benched in that case.
