I must repeat this. If a guy who has been picked in the team primarily as a batsman and picked regularly for the last two years has a batting average of 9.73 to show for all his efforts, and he gets picked in the first XI again, we can't be in a worse position as a team. We would be losing no matter who the opposition is and wherever we play more often than not.

It is not about picking on one player and his performances for criticism. It indicates the state of the game in the country and severe lack of talent / will to move on. We can defend saying Waller was in rich vein of form leading up to this etc., but the fact is, we have seen such purple patches translating to zilch in cases of Sibanda, Chakabva and Matsi before too.

A two year, 15+ match average of 9.73. Lets have that sink in.

So where do we put your wicketkeeper in the batting order
Pathetic performance by Zimbabwe...

Craig needs to bat 4th
Move Hami to 3rd
Bench Burl for Masaakanda
Bench Ngarava for anyone...
Sickening display by Chevrons

This is really sad..don't know how much more of this us fans can take..these players need to start being held to account.you can't blame the board in a situation like this

we all know raza is wasting a spot on the team, doesnt warrant a spot at the moment his batting has gone haywire. Burl is not a slogger he should play other at 3 or open... he always gets out trying to slog balls without getting himself in. bring in chibhabha for raza & open with mire & chamu, hami & burl at 3/4
cant deny the dl contributed, how can only 18 runs be removed from 7 overs, chasing a +300 score to begin with

I'm not sure if Waller's catch was taken cleanly. Waller did say to the umpire that Sole had overstepped the rope, but he was told to go. This is an image of Chris Sole taking the catch, it's not very clear though and tbh nothing can be conclusively determined from it.

What's up with masakadza? Either running people out or running himself out
Well done Waller and Williams. Not much to say about the rest
