ZC are extremely lucky that ICC have organized this ODI league because without that I don’t think there’s a member nation left that will voluntarily play us in Tests or 50 over cricket again. I think you’ll find some of the associates giving us a swerve unless they come out here in their off-season. Who are we beating amongst that lot? We’re in with a shout against Ireland and Netherlands depending on where we play, but we are absolute cannon fodder against the others. ZC and their supporters have won a Pyrrhic victory, and they’ll never know what that means nor care. Those scumbags at ICC may support them for their own nefarious reasons, but that’s about it, we’re a spent force as far as the other serious cricketing nations are concerned and it’s just a bother to have to play us, and that’s the reality, we are a spent force. There’s going to be a bit of spin doctoring about how the up and coming youngsters (none of them are young  )will have a chance to showcase their talents, but we all know the tank is empty, you can’t make a good international out of a mediocre club cricketer.
Even among the most rigid Afrikaner you won't often find such a tone against cricket or rugby. You should just support England.
He’s not wrong though, is he..?

If I had no interest in Zim cricket I wouldn’t be on this forum, would I?
The other guys from my era gave up on it years ago and I’m soon to join them. Our cricket has come to an end under this regime, it’s a bitter pill to swallow, but it’s a fact, it’s the last kicks of a dying horse.
You keep me on here a bit, you’re a good spin doctor and it would be remiss of me to let you get away with some of the stuff you come up with. The way you distort the truth is impressive, I’m not sure if you believe the stuff you come up with or does it just suit this massive agenda you have?
I’m just pointing out facts. Nobody wants to play us. We had one shot at fixing it and it’s gone.

History has proven Afrikaners to be far more innocuous than the current mobs that murder, rape, burn, thieve and pillage. The simplest comparison is murders under the various regimes, they’re positively benevolent in comparison, standards of living and education were higher, higher employment, greater per capita incomes, lower crime rates, I could go on and on. They’re not guilty of anything that ANC or EFF haven’t done times ten, but your prejudice doesn’t allow you to see that. The corruption, racism and tribalism exhibited by these new regimes is absolutely astonishing. It’s destroyed two beautiful countries.

All we can do now is enjoy the final few years of Taylor, Williams, etc in whatever high profile matches they end up playing because this is the last hurrah for Zim cricket. Sad but true, it's done.

I couldn't have put it any better myself.
Williams, Ervine, Taylor and Mazakadza are some of my favorite players. Now, I'm just going to chersih every time they set foot onto the pitch, because after them, we're done, it's over. All the memories of the golden years and the fight and grit we showed in the 90's will be but an echo. Genuinely is depressing to think we probably won't be around in 2 years, and if we are, we'll have a squad makeup of very average players.

The ICC have behaved disgracefully throughout all of this. It's clear they have been looking for a reason to oust Zim. They didn't wait long at all to pull the trigger.

The ICC should have kicked ZC to the curb 10 years ago circa 2010. Despite a few false daws (2011, 2017) Zim cricket has been shockingly poor both in the boardroom and on the field.
As opposed to? SLC? BCB? The general consensus is BD should never have been a FM at the time.

Basically, ZIM rebooted in 2011. Any judgements can be made from 2021. In 2021, I just don't see BD winning a Test series in ZIM against:

Kamunhukamwe, Burl, Kaia, Musakanda(c), Kasuza, Murray(wk), Jongwe, Mashinge, Ngarava, Mumba, Muzarabani(he'll be back)
. Moor and Chari won't have declined much. And if a Mahmadullah is still around, so will Chakabva. ZIM won't give BD spinners any helpful pitches.

We can bet 10k USD now.

With the WT20 next year also gone, the players need some sort of motivation to keep themselves going, apart from the ODI league, I don't see any thing much.

Anyways, I think the first big step as of now is to get the suspension lifted on Oct 12th, let's see if ZC organizes some games after that. I desperately hope so.

I feel this is the only way to yield positive results:

We will see. If Tamim Iqbal has the kind of form he had in NZ earlier this year, he'll score more runs than that lineup you posted by himself. Mushfiq is fit enough to bat till age 40. Mosaddek is shaping up to be a very strong batter, and by 2021 he will likely be batting at #5 or #6. Abu Jayed can swing the ball around corners, Ebadat can hurry the batsmen with pace, and Nayeem Hasan will be able to generate bounce and turn from most tracks.

Do you have a job, or does Mukhu just pay you to sit on Cricinfo and post stats willy nilly?
