Future tour rumours

Does anyone "in the know", know what the potential tours lined up for the next year or so are beyond the upcoming SL series?

(The rate we're going it'll probably be a tour of Burkina Faso, with a few of our mercenaries opting out of it for the Libyan Premier League)

Theres a big push to get a touring team in December. ZC dont care who but are trying all countries that havent already got commitments. Preferably a team that can pay their own way and then get reimbursed by the ICC

Bangladesh are available and look like the obvious choice. IIRC they owe us a Test series.

The other option is South Africa, but they are banking on India touring them in December rather than January, which depends on the India v Pakistan series not going ahead in December. Pakistan would then be available.

Even Scotland or Nambia or a South African A squad would be nice...don't know if ZC would tour Pakistan again

ODI: Scotland 1-1 Zimbabwe
ListA: Netherlands ?-? Zimbabwe (probably 2-1 or 3-0 considering Netherlands are much stronger than Scotland)
ODI: Sri Lanka 5-0 Zimbabwe
TEST: Sri Lanka 1-0 Zimbabwe
WI: Assuming West Indies do come through - following the Afghanistan embarassment, and some IPL careers under threat - Zim will be on the receiving end of a stronger WI squad.

So the discussion or considerations should center around possible player contract downgrades, retirements, departures; non-salary payment(not due to funds unavailabiltiy); coach firing and hiring.

If that doesn't happen then I expect boardroom battles with the old order coming back (PC, OB, AC, GM, SM) considering the ICC World Cup Qualifiers will be less than a year away and drastic measures may be necessary.

Either way, if incoming tours are the primary factor post SL-WI, I'll be a little bit surprised. At any rate, since Zimbabwe have already done AFG, IRE, SCO, NED, NAM and CAN, then expect any one or more of PNG, HK, Nepal, Kenya, UAE and Oman for a single-team or multi-team visit. No Burkina Faso just yet though.

Surely we can't sit and wait till October to play again???

Get someone over to Zimbabwe or we can go there, sitting around for 3 months ain't going to help us .....

Considering the issues going on between Cricket Australia and their players should we step in and replace them against South Africa A? Even the Bangladesh tour looks unlikely we could fill in there also ......

Going to BD might work because Australia are in a right mess.

best would be to tour Ireland or invite them in Zimbabwe for one test and five Odis.
