Where are the quicks

Zimbabwe has a good tradition of pace men Brandes, Streak. B Strang. Olonga etc. Why has this suddenly dried up? 5 Spinners and one quick in the West Indies :o Surely Mupariwa, Rainsford or Garwe should have been on this tour. Jarvis the one express guy at their disposal wasn't even used before he was hurt. Its alright packing the team with spinners to try but this side don't look capable of bowling anyone out. Sri lana and India teams historically reliant on spin don@ go into games in the Caribbean with one frontline seamer. Poor squad selection has really hurt ye guys on this tour! Drop Utesya and Maruma and play Rainsford and Mupariwa and have a better chance of taking wickets!!

Personally i don't rate Mupariwa. His lack of pace would be bread and butter for somebody like Chris Gayle. I can understand where you're coming from in terms of Ed Rainsford though. He (Along with Kyle Jarvis) is a genuine new ball threat, and when loose can bowl sharp.

Tendai Chitara especially. But Gerald Aleseni seems to be "all talk". He's not consistantly taken wickets on the domestic scene, and quite frankly i don't think he'll be a 90mph+ bowler. Tendai Chtara however, can be :D

I think ZC has to invest in Sports Medicine and take care and rehabiliate young quicks who pick up injuries . Rainsford was quick but picked an injury , Elton was quick but picked an injury , Panyangarara is history .

Well i wouldn't class Panyangara as history. Word has it he's attepting a comeback, so things aren'tlooking so bleak for the youngster
