[Match Thread] OnIy Test: SL vs ZIM

Post by Detective RDS »

Most of the people may be looking at Chakabva to open the innings. I want him to keep and so will have him in the middle order.

My XI:

1 Tarisai Musakanda
2 Hamilton Masakadza
3 Craig Ervine
4 Sean Williams
5 Peter Moor
6 Sikander Raza
7 Regis Chakabva (WK)
8 Malcolm Waller
9 Graeme Cramer (C)
10 Tendai Chatara
11 Carl Mumba

Espncricinfo match preview suggests the pitch has an ice covering of grass but will take spin later in the match. I wonder if Zimbabwe's appetite for a chase will remain in the test arena or will they want to bat first?

I'd definitely bat first

We don't have the seamers to send them in. Have to bat first.

Not sure if the three pronged attack is a good idea in the tests.
One dayers definitely, but not sure about the tests.

Analyse whether williams and Waller would be a value add over mshingwe.

RaZas bowling is coming along well. Starting to look like a genuine offie

Does anyone know if SonyLIV free streaming works? Or do you need a login/paid account?

Mazakadza
Burl
Musakanda
Ervine
Williams
RaZa
Chakabwa
Cremer
Mushwange
Chatara
mumba
This would be my playing 11 for the match. A lot of felt that burl has the talent but he is like other Ervine useless down the order so I would try opening with him. We have already exceeded expectations on this tour. So it's nothing to lose

Why is there a need to cut a Test match to accomadate 2 extra one dayers? this should have been a 2 Test series since either side could have staged a comeback. ZIM need to play more Tests period.

this should be a very entertaining and exciting game...hope the rain stays away.

Real cricket (Test match cricket) begins!
