What is mindless is picking Moor and Malcolm, then make them bat 7 & 8 in a Test XI, but do nothing else.

What do you want Hondo and Chikomba to do? The latter already impressed for ZIM A/XI. Get picked on a tour so - like Mushangwe - they can have the privilege of watching Sean Williams chuck pies for 70 overs, plus bat like a tailender at number 5? Didn't Diplock leave because of such midlessness?

Not bad. But the selection of Shaun Handirisi and Kudzai Sauramba shows the desperation for finding the next keeper. They were hopeless as batsmen in the last season or two. Not sure why they should be there really. If Murray was available for selection (I'm assuming he is not) he would have played for the national team already by this standard?

Good to see Shingi still in the scheme of things especially in the longer format. Some sense prevailing there finally. Keith Jaure is back from wilderness!

That reminds me, whatever happened to the other Mire-esque comeback story, Tanaka Chivanga?
