Kenyan international cricekt died not because of the ICC largely, but because the African players revolted against the Indian administration and selection domination by Indian players.

Yes they have been named a tribe (Indians in Kenya), but the dynamics are such that the govt will always ask why their "national team" doesn't look like their elite long distance running conquerors who are the envy of all throughout the globe.

So parents are funding these junior teams, but they are not excatly perceived to be a Kenya's U19 cricket side.

I sympathise with the Kenyan situation, and a re caught in two minds, because Indians are our brothers in arms and struggle, plus the bulk are genuine.

People mistakenly thought 2003 was the start of something for Kenya, whereas it was infact the end of a golden generation which they will probably never have again. Most of the 2003 team had been around since the early 90s and played somewhat regularly against full-member nations. Where Kenyan cricket failed was in developing the next generation of players and capitalising on the growing interest in the sport. The Kenyan admin was possibly even more incompetent than ZCs.
