I think BRMT will come back with the lure of playing a ICC tournament at home being to great for him to resist. Whilst KJ is less likely he's probably looking for another County gig with his limited chances at Lancs .....
Can you elaborate on KJ at Lancs? I thought he was tearing it up except his first season back in 2013/14...he even got a new contract last year. Taylor on the other hand has been up and down and at his age Notts may invest ina younger guy. plus Brexit. but any details on KJ???
They've got alot of good seam bowlers and he hasn't played as many games this season.

Still taken 20 wickets @ 23

20 at 23 apiece is phenomenal. how many better bowlers can one county side have? it must be an age thing then. even so Jarvis is still pretty young. besides Lancs resigned him.

hopefully the allure of intl cricket and stable ZC admin brings him back. Holme wouldnt be reporting without any basis.

I did discuss this some time back, it's not what you do, it's how much you. There's 3 competitions - County, Royal London(50 over), and T20 Blast. SO if you're not adding value across the board, then you're of limited use. Even when KJ left I did say it was a risk, and his isolation from the Limited Overs squads was confirmed throughout his stay, and he really dug deep to get the results in County cricket. But fortunately for him, Lancs had Alviro Petersen and Ashwell Prince from SA putting massive runs on the board, so he almost always had something to bowl at and he was fortunate in that regard because he needed that, and it worked out.

Presumably if Jarvis' batsmen hadn't put runs on the board pariah would be claiming Jarvis had only picked up easy wickets as he was defending a total the other team would achieve even if they threw away a few wickets.

COUNTY CRICKET
Nottinghamshire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/county-ch ... tournament
Kepler’s son Riki better than a hardly used BRM.

Lancashire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/county-ch ... tournament
KJ ok again. However, an extension is a problem considering Anderson will probably retire soon after getting 500 Test wickets, plus McLaren is doing great as another import.

Hampshire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/county-ch ... tournament
Sean Ervine did contribute to a fair extent in County cricket, but for a side that brought in so many imports at quite a hefty cost in order to win Div 1, he simply didn't do enough with bat and nothing at all with the ball.

NATWEST T20 BLAST
Lancashire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/natwest-t ... tournament
Jarvis unused

Nottinghamshire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/natwest-t ... tournament
Taylor used and relatively effective. However, with ECB looking to make their T20 comp strong and attractive, he’s not good enough to retain in that format. Riki a thorn in his flesh once more.

Hampshire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/natwest-t ... tournament
What was once Sean’s strongest suite has become his weakest. Quite simply woeful in this format. Again not good enough to be retained in that format with so much quality around to sign up for this tournament. Didn’t bowl.

ROYAL LONDON ONE DAY CUP
Nottinghamshire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/royal-lon ... tournament
Taylor was brilliant, but others eclipsed him.

Hampshire:
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/royal-lon ... tournament
As with the T20 Blast, Sean Ervine flopped badly in this format too. He barely bowled, which is telling.

Lancashire:

Unusually Kyle Jarvis was used in this format for a change. His form was encouraging enough to suggest he might be trusted more next season.

One would think Sean Ervine is actually the easiest to get but Tristan in his responses said he's the least likely of the 3. I'd say Jarvis made an improvement by adding an extra format, so could be using this to get a new contract from Lancashire. In ZIM, I honestly don't see him surviving in ODI&T20 cricket, his stats will only get worse in my view - no matter the opposition - PNG/HK. Taylor on the other hand never imagined he would be playing so much 2nd XI FC cricket in England, and I think that must have depressed him somehow. If I was in his position, considering I've done relatively ok in List A and T20 cricket over there, I'd look for a smaller County side where I'll be good enough for their 4-day side as well. Not forget his away form, it's too big a risk for him to go to ZIM and flop against the likes of AFG, IRE and SCO whom ZIM will be playing the most cricket against. I wouldn't be surprised if none of them do go back to Zimbabwe.

NB: Did Zimbabwe miss the trick by not trying to rope Riki Wessels in? He's a proper keeper, and a great batsman.

   don't start. County cricket is strongly linked to SA cricket and its cricketers so we closely follow their performances.

For example if someone says Simon Harmer has been destroying County cricekt and should be brought back for the Proteas, I simply say New Zealand's Jeetan Patel routinely destroys County cricket, so it's not a big deal. Only exposes English cricket's weaknesses against spin. Even Liam Dawson is an option there  . Anyway, it's common knowledge that Lancs benefitted hugely from Alviro and Prince, so did young Kyle. Nothing "sinister" there. :D
