wow. They really have been thrown into the deep end. good conditioning though. I wonder if there are any Indian u19 players in this team. shows the difference in class and facilities. This is good for the kids, builds character. I wonder how the rising stars will cope there. That will be a good measure

Well, not really aware of that, but my guess is - most likely there would be none. The state of Maharashtra has 3 representative teams in the Indian domestic scene (most for any state I guess) - Mumbai, Maharashtra and Vidarbha. The first two are really good, but Vidarbha, covering the northern Maharashtra region, is not that great in terms of talent. In fact, in the past, people who got rejected from their respective stronger state teams have looked to play for Vidarbha (Badrinath of Tamil Nadu, Ganesh Sathish, Amit Verma of Karnataka and some more). So, their main team itself is not very talented. So, I doubt if there is too much quality in their age group sides.

The facilities are new and great, so they might be using this to evoke a lot of interest in the game in the northern Maharashtra region.

I think the Zim U19 team would have found acclimatising very difficult to these conditions may be. Weather-wise too, this is a great time to visit. So, can't really tell what is going on with the guys there.

Can anyone post the overall batting and bowlling stats for the u19s o. This tour so far?

So in the u19 CWC just 4 months away, ZIM u19s play PNG(whom they've lost to 3 times), AUS and crucially IND, whom they are touring right now? Why pick players like Murray who didn't tour then? Because batting conditions in NZ will be much different and easier?

Also, an update. As the Zim U19 team was supposed to fly back home from Mumbai airport, heavy rains lashing the city for that last couple of days have meant that flights are cancelled from the city. So, Zim U19 flight was diverted to Nagpur airport, but they could not get things rescheduled in time.

Lot of time waiting in the airport for the boys. Looks like last minute arrangements were made for them to get a hotel near by after flight situations did not improve. Not sure if they have flown yet. This report is from this morning:
