West Indies Tour Report

Well it was a disappointing finish of the tour, that said though, I think we should focus on the work at hand. Results wise, I think we did well given our position, but winning is the only way we can show the world that we are hitting positive notes and that can only be done by playing more games and that responsibility lies on the cricket world, teams like the Black Caps (New Zealand) should not be allowed to continue to sabotage tours to our country for invalid reasons!
Bowling throughout the tour was superb, we managed to defend very low scores - something very commendable. Batting on the other hand fell short of any standard (with the exception of the 1st ODI), and to produce any results in the game both bat and ball are required. I hope that the country can be able to craft genuine swing and pacemen (something we cannot do without when we regain test status) - I believe that this will greatly improve improve our batting (which has been suspect to very fast bowling in recent games [short tour of SA, West Indies tour...]) and ultimately our game.
That said, I would like to congratulate our boys - we are and will always be proud of you! Let's keep up the FAITH and continue to work hard, we are getting there one small step at a time...
