"Match winners" led by ever-failures Chigumbura and Sibanda, between these two they have like more than four hundred ODI matches and look at their averages which are patheically in mid-twenties. And seriously you call Jongwe, Chisoro and madziva match winners! You must be joking i reckon.

Chigumbura, M Waller , Mire, Madziva are suitable for t20 cricket
Zimbabwe is actually in a situation where their biggest headache is who must bat where. There have been plenty of threads here questioning the hitting power of Zimbabweans, but if you look closely, Elton, Mire, Hami and Malcolm are there. If two of them open and go early, Zimbabwe no longer resembles a T20 side, hence their horrible record.

The problem is most sides have got excellent T20 bowlers upfront, like Malinga, Narine, Tahir etc. That often means early casualties. A dangerous guy like Gayle/Finch can be out first few balls. So an Amla type player is valuable. Taylor could play that role for Zimbabwe but he doesn't want to open. Hence Vusi's presence. But it also gets tricky if Hami goes early and you have both Taylor+Vusi in the middle eating up overs while Elton, Mire and Malcolm sit idle.

Going back to Mire, I also feel it's too soon to overrate him in this format because the bowlers are specialists and highly experienced against the most dangerous batsmen. I also mentioned that Malcolm has come up short against quality bowling too, same will be the case with Maruma etc too. We've seen guys like Hami and Elton rip top bowlers to shreds. Until Mire does that as well, the jury is still very much out. Can he be what Cephas Zhuwawo threatened to be?

Cremer resembles some of Zim's batsmen.Has had his moments in ODIs and Tests, but simply cannot hit. In a T20 lineup, batting him at #11 is not an insult. Chisoro is rather automatic now in fairness, but when guys like Wellington and Chikomba come in, keep it tight and score aggressively, he too might find himself under pressure across all the formats.

T20I CAREER STATS

Select Batsmen
Solomon Mires: 0matches
Sikander Raza-Butt: 26matches 341runs 13.64avg 103.64SR (bowling - 8.05eco, 31avg)
Timecyn Maruma: 10matches 86runs 14.33avg 103.61SR (bowling 6.66eco, 20avg)

Bowlers
1. Panyangara(14mat, 20wk, 19.9avg, 7.88eco)
2. Tiripano(8mat,10wk, 21.8avg, 7.6eco)
3. Chatara(11mat, 11wk, 28avg, 7.7eco)
Madziva is in as a an allrounder, considering he average 20 with the bat at 120SR, and has 8 wicket at an 8.95 economy. None of Hami, Mire and Elton can be trusted to bowl like he can.

Best??? That's ZCF for you! They even demanded Raza get the captaincy. Anything to keep Vusi out. Anyway, what does "crazy" me know. :D

Vusi is very average at t20 cricket with only 1 score past 50 and a strike rate of just over 100.

Yes Raza has poor t20 stats but I have more faith in him to perform than Vusi who has underperformed in every format for well over a decade now.

Only the "crazy" Hhm can't see Vusi is done and dusted.

Typical! This is precisely why the Zim Cricket team has been horrible after "decade-long failures" were ditched!

I give up! Neither career stats, nor being outbatted in Afghanistan is enough to sway you. I can't talk faith, only stats.

Raza is an alrounder vusi is not
Razz has played not more than 3 years for Zimbabwe
But Vusi has been inconsistent for a decade

But you're backing Vusi who has terrible t20 stats

This bloke doesn't know if he's 'coming or going' or 'his left from his right'

I'll give you the tip bud averaging 20 and striking at 104 isn't good t20 stats
