Hamilton at 3 is non negotiable for me. But might not happen at all in reality unfortunately. Hamilton, Craig and BT at 3,4 and 5 looks perfect.

Ervine for me. I like the alternating left and right handers through the middle.
Get Byrom to come back! That will ensure that left right combo and Hamilton can get back to 3 too. Win -win :)

Something I have noticed about Pariah.
He doesn't have a good eye for spotting raw talent.
That ability just by sight to see that Raza is better than Jongwe for instance isn't there...
Rasas confidence, match awareness and comfort compared to Luke is lost on him.
Also alot of players he spruiks I noticed are ones who's heads go down easily and freak out when going gets tough, like Sibanda.

Probably overdue for me to get on this but...

Get him in the team!

AGES
Raza - 31
Jongwe - 22
SELECT STATS
FC centuries: Raza: 4; Jongwe: 2
FC fifers: Raza: 0; Jongwe: 3

I'll try and support Sean "balls of steel" Williams. If I need someone to bowl to save my life in a super over, I'll be sure to throw the ball to Jarvis. Let's chat when one of Williams, Malcolm and Craig has faced a new ball in international cricket, just like Utseya and Maruma.

NB: Best u19 allrounder since Elton is Jongwe hands down. Next is a toss up between Mashinge and Mavhuta. I also think all my Proteas debut picks have turned out better than the entire CSA selectors over the years don't you think. :D

Raza has 2 FC hundreds? Where did you select that stat from?

It is 4, alongside 6 in List A.

Yes you're right, he has 4 FC tons. I edited wrong. If you had read it a few seconds earlier it would have shown the correct 4.

I've also removed that solitary fifer List A reference, so you don't sneak that in. :)

But the point stands. We're talking about two very different ceilings.

No idea what pariah is babbling on about, many number three's haven't opened. Hami at three for me, I like Ervine at four.
Then where is BT gonna bat at?

Surely, five when the game is already half lost is too low.

BT at five, our number five is normally in by the tenth over anyway.

What am I missing here. Surely your best batsman plays at 3. Any further down and BT could be left out to dry by potential collapses. Ponting played at 3 and anchoring innings. Just seems odd for him to come in lower. Obviously my opinion.
