Looks like Ndolvu has officially over taken Johnny Nyumbu as the Tuskers No.1 spinner.
Sad for Johnny who is one of the real characters of Zimbabwe Cricket

So none of the cowards opened!
Won't do it against NED B, won't do it against Logan Cup opposition. So who will you do it against? Falcon College?

Mutumbami reminding the world of his existence...aaand gone.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Chakabva getting a 30 ball duck when Richie scored big is exactly what he did not want. Moor hit his way to a 40, but where do these 3 stand now? A few more innings to go before the WI showdown.
Would be interesting to see who is selected as keeper for the A team that faces touring WI.

absolute worst case scenario for Regis but for me its good for us. I honestly don't think Regis is in form right now but Streak keeps on picking him. Richmond should have played against the Netherlands and he is showing now that he might actually be a better option than Regis in tests right now too. PJ has that advantage of at least scrapping a 30 or 40 from somewhere in the longer format. Interesting decisions to be made but what I can say is that there is no worse situation than having a keeper who cant put together 10 runs in 2 innings then goes on to drop 3 chances on the 5th day of a test match.

Moor has the x factor with the bat, I think we can all agree on that. His six hitting ability (you would think) is tailer made for ODI and T20 cricket, yetr his record is appalling. He's got a decent record in the longer format of the game.

Chakabva gets a duck after fielding for 64 overs, an dhaving to come in 2nd ball of the 4th over at position number four.
I'm happy with a Chakabva 30 ball duck in that match situation, towards the end of play. It makes much more sense than a non-bowling Malcolm Waller duck at number 5 against amateurs, as well as a non-keeping Moor run-a-ball 41from number 6!
Again how such facts fail to stick out makes no sense. Chakabva just scored a first innings century in a 4-day game against the toughest bowlers to bowl in ZIM in 2017, the same bowlers who showed BD fire in the tour match, and you question his ability and form?
Netherlands B shouldn't be an indicator of anything especially when discussing Tests against a WI side that just beat England at home.
If you failed in anything against that NED side then it means a lot because they were that poor. That's the only relevance for players, and that More ton was empty too. Imagine how much pressure Dav Whaymore would have been under if like Streak he had been embarrassed twice by such, the second time at home. ZCF would've pilloried Mangongo even though he too weakened his sides against a vastly superior AFG. Zimbabwe cricket is adjusting fan standards and expectations in an unfortunate way.
