Don't know whether to trust cric info right now. Eagles seem to be without Chibhabha and Chakabva with Elty making a return? And Burl seems not to be stepping up to open the batting. I wonder if someone is not playing the role a FC level how would it work at national level. It then becomes a makeshift position that he is not really accustomed to.

Him and Welch quickly slid down the order too after appearing and playing higher up the order. Same with Raza. He just ricked up one season and was playing in the middle.

Jha grinding it out which is good to see, or perhaps it's the lack of shots

Mutombodzi and Mufudza are Cremer-in-disguise out there against these Rising Stars. Imagine if they'd bowled 17 overs too against them... maybe grab an easy fifer. Mutombodzi will be thinking about it come 2nd innings. If Chigumbura is really playing too he might want to chance his arm too.

Mavuta did well. Good for him. Hopefully him and Mashinge can bowl well just before the close. And of course Blessing with Ngarava.

Gupo used to really see off that new ball. That was a decent effort from Jha for the Stars. Can't do much more than fall in the 33rd over. of course a few more runs would have helped. But it's a start :)

Gumbie has lost it completely hasn't he? A first ball duck against the Rising Stars?

And Sauramba too, over in the other match.

The 7ft beanpole muzarabani gets the prized wicket of chigumbura caught behind. That's one he will remember. Two wickets now
