Nathan Waller neither bowled nor batted. Is he even there?
Nathan Waller's performance in this match may even surpass Chakabva's 30-ball duck.

Why was nathan Waller not bowled ? Surely this is a cookup ? He seriously needs to start using some of his talent , we need all rounders
The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!

Another innings of batting that should give pause to all of those calling for random B strength batsmen to take the place of the international incumbents.

PJ Moor top scoring, reinforcing that as much as he has failed, he is still ahead of the others.

Yeah, he is ahead of them. And as BRMT said, an innings that says nothing else except that. A quick 30 odd showing he can score against an international team but short of anything to add to what we already know.

Keeping a track from the outside lads who could doing a gritty dogging type job in the opening spot are Kasuza, Maunze and N.Mpofu
Very good. Although I would leave Kasuza out of that list. Nothing gritty about him. He's a typical strokemaker, same with Musakanda. They're not sloggers, but proper batsmen. Same applies to Chari.

I still think Gupo can do that better than Maunze, Mpofu, Innocent Kaia etc but because he hasn't had much game time I'll leave him out of consideration. I still wonder what Burl is being developed for. He's definitely going to be part of ZIM's cricekt team probably until retirement, we've seen them persist with consistently making Chari open because that's what they want him to do, and Musakanda has been thrown into the top order often, but Burl has been all over the place.

Burl
Chakabva(c)
Chari
Kasuza
Musakanda
Murray(wk)
Jongwe
Mashinge
Wellington
Chikomba
Mumba
RESERVES: Innocent Kaia, Mpofu, Mavuta, Ngarava

Based on what I've seen though I can confidently say Moor will be overtaken by everyone in a future ZIM Test batting lineup. I simply don't see him making it because like Malcolm Waller what he brings is not clear, so will often be messed about. Unless Nathan specialises too, I also don't see him making the cut. With Mashinge and Jongwe there, plus Murray a capable keeper-bat, ZIM won't be desperate for plenty specialist batsmen. What it does is give ZIM room to pick an extra specialist spinner all the time without affecting the balance of the team at all. In seaming conditions, ZIM will have the luxury to just drop a spinner and either pick a batsman for security by bringing in a solid batsman at first drop and push the rest down. Kaia and Mpofu are comfortable both opening and top order, which is where ZIM will continue to have a revolving door.

I also don't think Muzarabani will cope in Tests so he's out. Safe to say Mumba is more complete now than Ngarava, and probably a better long format bowler overall. Chikomba no doubt better than Mavuta at the moment.

Burl runs the risk of being another Dirk Viljoen, moved all around the order. Viljoen did find some success as a bowler ultimately and was statistically superior to the likes of Prosper Utseya, but he never really got a chance to settle on one role in the side. Hopefully Burl gets a chance to cement one role.

Carlisle suffered more than Viljoen I think, so I think he's a better comparison. Grant was the same but he had terrible form and had the luxury(and potential) to be moved not dropped.

Just like Carlisle, Burl will realise that he's more suited to the top. Not lower than 3.
