Your Best First XI

Post by brmtaylor.com admin »

I was inspired by ZCF's recognition of my poll-creating prowess ;)

Here's the deal - I would like EIGHT volunteers. First eight to respond in the affirmative in this topic. Then send me a PM with your best First XI. I'll create a topic this Saturday (so you've got the rest of the week to send me your XI) with everyone's XI listed - but the name of the person who sent it will be anonymous. Then the forum will vote on the best First XI (eg. whose XI is strongest).

Rules:
  • It has to be a Test XI (eleven only)
  • Any player who has played in a Test match for Zimbabwe since the 2011 resumption is eligible
  • You must specify a Captain and Wicket Keeper
Again, PM me your eleven after you've thrown your name in the ring by posting in this topic. I think we have to limit it to 8 otherwise everyone could just vote for themselves.

DON'T POST ANY FIRST XI's IN THIS TOPIC - this will be a tough ask for ZCF I know but please try.

I'll throw my name in the hat too.

Does the winner get any special prize? Maybe a bottle of Mangongo's Scalp Shine cream...???

Right, an Aussie creates a thread on Zim first XI and an Englishman, an Indian, a South African, a Bangladeshi and a New Zealander sign up. We await the resident Aussies, German and Tajikistani to complete the line up :)

Is it possible Zimbabwe has more non-native fans than any other test playing country?
