I agree, time to bring back Meth and get Waller bowling more, with a bit more work on his bowling he could become a genuine test allrounder like Sean Williams.
Shame, with such a Zim Cricket surname steeped in heritage too :(

Can't believe he's not been opening said bowling attack.

MATCH REPORT
ROUND 5 - GORMANDALE @ JOHN BLACK OVAL
CATS 10/114 defeated by Gormandale 10/148

CATS hosted Gormandale in their first home game of the 2017/18 season. Ben Julin won the toss and sent the Tigers in to face our firing bowling attack. This proved to be a fruitful decision as Adam Nunn (3/44) and Tinashe Panyangara (4/49) ripped through the top order of Gormandale with the key wickets of Barbour, Switzer and Burgiel all falling cheaply on the way to 6/39.

It's very wrong for Panyangara to be there and not in the Logan Cup!

He is literally destroying everything in his path wihtout breaking a sweat! He really should be playing much higher - Shield Cricket!

Fawad Ahmed, Boland, and Tremain are definitely not at the level of Panyangara. He's a vastly superior bowler in comparison to them!

Andrew McDonald and Aaron Finch need to do the right thing!

What is the level of this club tournament in Victoria? Are Panyangara's stats impressive or is this a boozers league?

It’s high level cricket but it is most certainly not the highest. To call for him to play Shield
Cricket is a joke , he would be dispatched. The Aussie first class scene is probably the best first class tournament in the world , all the players are of great skill and talent. Panyangara is a good bowler but let’s be real he’s playing club cricket here , yes great stats but shield level no way . Coaches pick players who can get it over 130 kmh

What sort of stats would Hazlewood have if he played Vic club cricket?

I don’t think it’s a very strong Comp at all. This does seem like a boozer league.

Their opponents, Gormandale, is a small town of 440 people.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gormandale

Towns like this tend to be skewed towards the Middle Ages as the young ones have gone to uni in Melb or migrate to make some cash.

So let’s say 200 of the population are bitches, 100 are above 40, and 50 below 18.... you’re playing against a cricket team with a maximum player pool of about 90 to choose frok just in eligibility. Not everyone likes cricket so realistically it’s closer to 30.
